Did you know back pain can be a result of an overactive Psoas (Hip flexor) muscle? This causes your pelvis to tilt too far backwards, resulting in excessive lumbar lordosis.
One major cause of Psoas gripping and tightness is sitting for long periods, especially with weight forwards (so basically- Dentistry).
Try a Supine Hip Flexor stretch!
- Make sure the foam roller is firmly under your hips and not in the small of your back
- Actively tuck your pelvis towards your abdominals by squeezing the glutes
- Reach the leg away (don’t bend too much at the knee) feeling a sense of lengthening across the front of the hip
